VOLUME

Other than the obvious ways of creating volume with a blow dry you can also do this by using heated rollers, tongs and wet set rollers. You can work top to bottom or bottom to top however you find it easiest to place the rollers. Whilst waiting for the rollers to heat fully, section the hair. Section it with partings how you want the finished style, then place the rollers according to that in the front sections then brickwork for the rest of the head, unless you also need it set in certain direction. when applying rollers pull the hair taught and roll the hair around the roller keeping the tension the whole time and making sure there are no fish hooks, once rolled to the root and you are satisfied it is not sagging, use a clip or roller pin to secure it being careful not to hurt the client. Once the hair is all set into the roller wait until the hair feels totally cool and the heat has worked its way through all of the hair, and has now cooled down, this means it is ready to take out. You can also use heated tongs to create this barrel effect by curling the hair the same way a roller does but securing it with a bobby grip to cool down.
