The ladies told us more about Illamasqua, how it is now 6 years old, never paid for advertising and instead use social media and networking to advertise to save on their budget.
They also showed us their website and how they have a rolling board on the main home page which flicks between a selection of images, advertising for upcoming events, new projects, seasons etc. The current on was on VALENTINES DAY, and the collection was called 'I'm the One' and it was all about treating yourself on valentines day. The selling image was a red headed girl mirror images onto herself in order for her hair to create a heart shape!
Charlotte then created a look on Kristie in which she and other Illamaqua team members created on models for the Sorapol collection. Whilst producing the final look, she was explaining what she was doing step by step and told us tips along the way, for example, blocking out eyebrows, take your time, make sure they are nothing but perfect otherwise they will lift ad PEARS soap is the best soap for this process. Another tip was that one of their highest selling products, 'hydra veil' is a great prep for the skin as it evens it out and helps to hold all make-up into place.
Finally Spob informed us of the Illamasqua competition this year, she told us about dates and the concept which was future. This competition is also the look we will design and create for our timed assessment!
